Consulting Engagements FAQ
Practical answers regarding project scoping, Technical Audits, fixed-milestone execution, code ownership, and collaboration.
What is a Technical Project Audit and when should I start with one?
A Technical Audit is a focused, fixed-scope assessment designed to provide clarity before making major financial commitments to a build. It evaluates existing codebase health, architectural bottlenecks, feasibility of new features (such as local AI or mobile migration), and produces an actionable implementation roadmap.
How are projects scoped and priced?
Engagements are organized around clearly defined milestones and specific deliverable gates rather than open-ended hourly billing. Deliverables, acceptance criteria, timeline expectations, and pricing are agreed upon in writing before engineering begins.
Who owns the intellectual property and code created during an engagement?
Upon payment of agreed milestone deliverables, you retain 100% ownership of the custom code, documentation, and architecture developed for your project.
How is progress communicated during development?
We use direct, structured communication: regular written progress updates, milestone reviews against agreed criteria, and staging demonstrations. You work directly with the senior engineer building your system.
